The ferret is a domesticated and sexually dimorphic mammal predator. Males are substantially larger than females. They typically have brown, black, white, or mixed fur. Patterns: Roans have 50-60 percent colored guard hairs. The type of mask and nose color depend on animal color. Most common variations are Black, Black Sable, Champagne, Chocolate, Cinnamon and Sable Roan. Point or Siamese: Tails and legs darker than the body. Mask is also generally a thin "V" shape. Variations ; Black, Champagne, Chocolate, Cinnamon and Sable. Solid: Appears as one color tip-to-tail. Mitts: Four white feet. Mitts may accompany any color. Other "whites" may include bib, knees, patches or tail tip. Blaze: Long white blaze from middle of head to shoulders. These might also have white mitts, rings around the eyes or small masks.
