I think that's right actually. No matter the reason Queensland Healer is a really nice name. The Blue and Red make sense too (color, right?) but the other sounds exotic to me - silly huh?

I think it had something to do with them being added to the American Kennel Club. but I'm not positive. They are also called Blue Heelers or Red Heelers.

Queensland Heeler is a much more elegant name. I wonder why the change?

She is a Queensland Heeler (called Australian Cattle Dogs here in the States).
