Luxemere Markezza

Luxemere Markezza by Mazkarade and out of Luxemere Farenza is an example of our belief in line breeding and outstanding dam lines. We feel strongly that Markezza will have a brilliant future as a great brood mare.

Markezza is a real honest to goodness miracle filly. We had real trouble getting her mother pregnant as this was her first foal (often found to be the case). We tried for a full year to get her pregnant and due to numerous complications we had no success. The next year we tried again and on the second cycle she finally took! We were so thrilled. 60 days later the Vet checked her and told us she was most likely carrying a colt. To our amazement she gave birth 9 months later to a filly! In more ways than we can recount this baby shouldn't be here but she is and regardless of her beauty and excellence she is a miracle just because of that. We have our good friends Mike and Peri Wilson to thank for that. In our hour of need they jumped in their truck with their trailer in tow and retrieved her from a bad situation. So again, in so many ways Markezza is truly our miracle baby and most important the future of Luxemere Arabians!
