Among camel owners there is a long established tradition of riding camels and there are specific breeds, or types, of camel which have been developed specifically for this purpose. The most significant riding camels found near Kenya are Beja camels and the Anafi camels of Sudan. The Anafi camel though said to be a good riding animal is not an outstanding seat since it's bred for speed rather than stamina. It's also less robust than the Bishari, both fast and smooth, but has no rival for distances of up to 40km. Many thanks to FICRA
