I think it had something to do with them being added to the American Kennel Club. but I'm not positive. They are also called Blue Heelers or Red Heelers.

Nice! I've been to Half Moon Bay, just not with my horse. We used to camp in Morro Bay further south but my current Arab has never been to the beach. One day..

She is a Queensland Heeler (called Australian Cattle Dogs here in the States).
