Following

You can follow owners (people) and animals, and join communities. Click the Follow button on any profile, or the Join button on any community page. What you follow and join controls what you see in your home feed — the more you connect with, the more you'll see.

Changed your mind? Just click the button again to unfollow or leave at any time.

Followers and following lists

On any owner profile, you can see their follower count and following count. Click either number to see the full list of people.

Your own counts appear on your profile too, so you can easily see who's following you and who you're following.

Your home feed

Your home page shows a feed of recent activity from everyone and everything you follow, sorted by time with the newest items first.

There is no algorithm deciding what to show you — it's purely chronological. What you follow is what you see. Simple as that.

If you don't follow anyone yet, you'll see a global feed of recent activity across the entire site. Once you start following people and animals, and joining communities, your feed becomes personalized.

For full details on how the feed works, visit our Transparency page.

Saves and bookmarks

Click the bookmark icon on any photo, link, article, animal, or owner to save it for later.

Your saved items are accessible from the Saves page, which you can find in the sidebar on desktop or in the mobile menu. Items are organized by type: Animals, People, Articles, Photos, and Links.

To unsave something, just click the bookmark icon again.

Comments

You can comment on photos, links, articles, animal profiles, and owner profiles.

Comments support replies — click "Reply" under any comment to respond directly to that person.

You can delete your own comments anywhere on the site. If you own the content (the photo, article, animal, etc.), you can also delete any comment on it.

Activity feeds

Every profile — both owner and animal — has an Activity tab showing recent events. This includes new photos, comments, pedigree updates, and more.

Think of it as a timeline view of everything that's happened related to that profile. It's a great way to catch up on what someone (or some animal) has been up to.
