Your profile is your home base on BestInShow. It's where other members go to learn about you and see your animals, photos, links, and articles.

To view your own profile:

• On desktop: Click your name in the sidebar on the left.
• On mobile: Open the menu and tap View Profile.

Your profile page shows your activity feed, your animals, and all the content you've shared on the site.

To edit your profile, go to Account > Edit Profile, or click the edit button directly on your profile page.

Here's what you can fill in:

• Name — How other members see you across the site.
• URL slug — Your custom web address (more on this below).
• Organization — Your kennel, cattery, farm, or business name.
• Address, City, State, Country — Your location. Only as much as you're comfortable sharing.
• Info — A short bio that appears near the top of your profile. A sentence or two is ideal.
• Details — A longer bio where you can share more about yourself, your breeding program, or your animals.
• Website — A link to your personal or business website.
• Show Email — Toggle this on if you'd like your email address to be visible on your profile.

You don't have to fill in everything at once. Come back anytime and add more details as you go.

Your profile photo appears next to your name throughout the site — in comments, activity feeds, and search results.

To set or change your profile photo:

1. Go to your profile page.
2. Click the camera icon on your avatar image.
3. Upload a photo from your device.

You can also set any photo you're tagged in as your profile photo. Just open the photo and look for the "Set as profile photo" option.

The cover photo is the wide banner image at the top of your profile. It's a great way to showcase your animals, your farm, or a favorite show photo.

1. Go to your profile page.
2. Click the camera icon in the cover area at the top.
3. Upload an image from your device.

Wide, landscape-oriented photos work best. You can remove your cover photo anytime by clicking the camera icon again.

Your profile is organized into tabs so visitors can easily find what they're looking for:

• Activity — Your recent actions on the site: comments, tags, new animals, and more.
• About — Your bio, details, location, and website.
• Animals — All the animals you own on BestInShow.
• Photos — Photos you've uploaded or been tagged in.
• Links — Links you've shared.
• Articles — Articles you've written.
• Followers — People who follow you.
• Following — People and animals you follow, and communities you've joined.

Every member gets their own web address on BestInShow. Your profile lives at:

thebestin.show/owners/your-slug/

The slug is the part of the address that's unique to you. You can change it in Edit Profile under the URL slug field.

A few tips for choosing a good slug:

• Keep it short and easy to remember.
• Use your name, kennel name, or something people will recognize.
• You can share this link anywhere — on social media, business cards, or in emails.
