The bell icon in the top-right corner of the page shows your notifications. When you have unread notifications, a purple badge appears on the bell.

Click the bell to see your recent notifications. You'll be notified when someone:

• Comments on your content
• Tags you or your animal in a photo or link
• Adds your animal to a pedigree
• Follows you

Opening the notification dropdown automatically marks all visible notifications as read.

You can also click "Clear all" to remove all notifications at once if you want a fresh start.

BestInShow can send you email notifications for important events. These are sent to the email address you used to sign up.

Emails are sent for the same events as in-app notifications: comments, tags, pedigree changes, and general updates.

You have full control over which emails you receive. Go to Account Settings to find four toggles:

• Comments — when someone comments on your content
• Tags — when you or your animal is tagged in media
• Ancestry — when your animal is added to a pedigree
• General — site announcements and updates

Each toggle can be turned on or off independently, so you get exactly the emails you want.

To stop receiving a specific type of email, simply turn off that toggle in your Account Settings.

You can turn off all four toggles to stop all emails from BestInShow.

In-app notifications (the bell icon) still work even if emails are turned off. You won't miss anything important — you'll just see it on the site instead of in your inbox.
