The bell in the navigation shows a badge when something needs your attention. Click it to see recent notifications, and clear them all with one click. You'll be notified when:

• A buyer sends your storefront an inquiry or replies to a thread.
• Your animal or storefront is tagged in a photo or link.
• An animal is transferred to or from your storefront, or an offer is accepted or declined.

Being added as a sire or dam in someone else's pedigree is emailed rather than belled, and watching a storefront, animal or breed sends nothing - it records what you are interested in.

The same events can reach you by email, controlled per category on the Email Preferences page (in the profile menu):

• Inquiries - a buyer sends an inquiry or replies to a thread. Leave this on if you have animals listed!
• Tags - your content is tagged in a photo or link.
• Pedigree - your animal is added as a sire or dam.
• General - news and announcements from Best In Show.

Toggles save instantly. Turning a category off stops the emails but doesn't affect the in-app bell.

A few actions - like writing articles and sending transfers - require a verified email address. If you didn't get the verification email when you signed up, you can resend it from the banner shown on the site, then click the link in your inbox.

Also check your spam folder, and add Best In Show to your contacts so inquiry emails never get lost.
