Roles explained
A storefront can have multiple members, each with one of three roles:
- Owner - full control. Owners can do everything, including removing other members. The person who created the storefront starts as its owner.
- Manager - everything an owner can do day to day: manage content and handle storefront-level administration like settings, members, billing, and transfers. Managers can't remove members.
- Staff - content only. Staff can manage animals, photos, listings, health records, and inquiries, but can't change storefront settings, invite or remove members, touch billing, or initiate transfers.
Inviting a member
Owners and managers can invite new members from the Members page (linked from your storefront and Storefront Settings):
- Enter the person's email address and choose their role.
- They receive an invitation email with a private link.
- Following the link, they sign in (or create an account) with that same email address and are added to your storefront automatically. If they sign up fresh through an invitation, they join your storefront instead of getting a new one of their own.
Pending invitations are listed on the Members page, where you can revoke one that hasn't been accepted yet.
Removing a member
Only owners can remove a member, from the same Members page. You can't remove yourself - so a storefront always keeps at least one owner.
Removing a member takes effect immediately. It doesn't delete anything they created - animals, photos, and listings belong to the storefront.
Member limits by plan
The Hobbyist (free) and Pro plans include 1 member. The Team plan supports up to 5 members - ideal for family programs and partnerships. If you hit your member limit, inviting another member will point you to the pricing page.
See Plans & Billing for the full plan comparison.
