The search bar at the top of every page searches animals, storefronts, articles, and communities in one go. Exact and close name matches rank first, and you can filter the results down to a single type.

Matching storefronts on the Pro or Team plan also appear in a Featured breeders strip above the results - one of the perks of upgrading. See Plans & Billing.

Not looking for anything specific? Browse instead:

• Explore - recent animals, photos, links, and articles from across the site.
• Animals - the full animal browse grid, sortable by newest, most photos, or most descendants.
• Storefronts - the searchable breeder directory.
• Listings - animals available right now, filterable by type.

Communities are Best In Show's encyclopedia of animal types and breeds. Each community page gathers everything on the site for that breed or type, in six tabs: an Overview, the animals Available now, Animals, Storefronts, Photos, and Subtypes.

They're a great starting point for buyers researching a breed - and where your animals get discovered by breed enthusiasts. Your animals join their breed's community automatically based on their animal type; there's nothing to join or manage.

Signed-in users can watch any animal or storefront using the Watch button on its page - a lightweight way to show interest and keep tabs on animals and programs you care about. Breeders can see how many people are watching their animals on the Insights dashboard (Pro/Team).

Saves are your private bookmarks. Save any animal, photo, or link and find it later on your Saves page. Nobody else can see what you've saved.

Both watching and saving require a (free) account - contacting a breeder does not.
